Photo Of JD Vance Drunk, Passed Out Leaks Online And It's Making Millennial Voters Like Him More: 'I Identify With Him'
Donald Trump's running mate J.D. Vance may have found a new way to appeal to younger voters after a photo of his drunken college escapade resurfaced online.
As he was beefing with celebrities over his "childless cat ladies" comment, an old photo of Vance passed out on the floor after a night of drinking during his college days made the rounds on social media this week.
In the picture, Vance, clad in a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and sneakers, could bee seen lying on the ground in the corner of a room, near a table with red party cups.
While not exactly the type of photo people expect from someone who wants to be vice president, for millennial voters, it's made the 39-year-old Republican senator for Ohio a bit more relatable and likable.
"JD Vance is definitely the first VP nominee to ever have photos of himself passed out on Facebook," one user wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "We millennials have arrived."
"A 'picture of JD Vance' passed out in the corner of a room is circulating and I wish they wouldn't do that because it just makes me identify with him," another commented.
A third user reposted the image of Vance and quipped: "If you didn't get drunk and pass out in college, you cannot be trusted."
"I resemble this..." another commented.

Some social media users questioned the authenticity of the photo, but Snopes confirmed that it is 100% real.
The image was originally posted on Facebook by a user named Danielle on Jan. 8, 2007, when Vance was studying political science and philosophy at Ohio State University.
After graduating from the university in 2009, Vance went on to attend Yale Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2013.
"Yes, that is definitely JD passed out in the corner," Danielle captioned the photo, tagging Vance's Facebook account.
Vance later left a comment under the image on Jan. 15, 2007, writing: "You Danielle, this might be my first official blackout, I don't remember being asleep at all."
Danielle and a user named Eric, who was apparently also at that party, shed more light on the situation in their replies to Vance.
"Your pillow was a stuffed animal you grabbed, [by the way]," Danielle replied to Vance's comment.
Meanwhile, Eric wrote: "Was the fact that your belt buckle and pants were undone mentioned at all yet? Cuz that's true also."
Neither Vance nor Trump have publicly addressed the resurfaced photo as of this writing.
