Simone Biles Regrets Getting Cosmetic Surgery While Training For Paris Olympics 2024, Affected Her Face During Practice

Simone Biles is getting candid about a cosmetic procedure she got while she was preparing for the Paris Olympics 2024.

On Friday, the 10-time Olympic medalist shared a video on TikTok in which she revealed she got a Botox injection as a birthday gift for herself when she turned 27 in March.

Biles said she came to regret the decision after experiencing an unwanted side effect.

"I have a funny story for you guys," the most decorated American gymnast of all time said in her "Get Ready With Me" video. "So, for my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like, baby Botox, just right here in my T-zone, and I did not like it. So I haven't got it again, and mind you, that was back in March."

According to Biles, one of her eyebrows would sometimes lift without her knowledge during practice as a result of the cosmetic enhancement.

Biles said she didn't become aware that her eyebrow was "randomly" lifting on its own until one of her fellow gymnasts brought it to her attention.

Biles shared that every time it happened, it would take almost 20 seconds for her eyebrow to go back down.

"I would be, like, standing at practice and then my eyebrow would be slowly going up like this," the gymnast told viewers, using her finger to physically lift her right eyebrow to demonstrate. "And then Zoey [Molomo] would be like, 'Simone, your eyebrow is doing it again.' I'm like I feel it and I couldn't get it back down."

According to the Mayo Clinic, "droopy eyelids" and "crooked eyebrows" are among the common potential side effects of Botox injections.

But it appears that Biles no longer has this problem as she said she "can do all the facials" while moving both of her eyebrows up and down.

Biles' confession immediately had many of her fans up in arms over the fact that she was getting cosmetic procedures at such a young age.

"Simone don't piss me off lol," one Instagram user jokingly commented on The Shade Room's repost of Biles' video.

"Somebody tell Simone she looks 18. No need for Botox baby girl," another fan wrote.

"Botox at 27 is wild," a third comment read, while another insisted, "We [are] Black baby, and you're young. It's not needed."

"Botox is not for young Black girls!!!!! We don't need it," a fifth user declared.

However, others came to Biles' defense.

"The most decorated gymnast of all time can do whatever she wants!" one person quipped.

Another pointed out, "Botox is preventative, 27 isn't too young. Contrary to popular belief... Black does crack! You don't need Botox but you do need SPF."
