HTC One Verizon: Flagship Phone Finally Comes to Major Network, Equipped with Snapdragon, Ultrapixel, 4G VIDEO
Verizon customers will finally be able to get their hands on the new HTC One.
After months of waiting, Verizon announced on Friday that customers will soon be able to purchase the flagship Android phone from HTC.
"Verizon #4G LTE + HTC One = Aug. 22 online and in stores for $199.99 on contract," tweeted Verizon Wireless.
By committing to a two-year contract, buyers can get all the HTC One has to offer on a stable, wide ranging network.
Currently offered in black and white (although there are rumors of a blue edition), the handset debuted in February to widespread praise. Made of strong, premium metals and equipped with a gorilla glass display, the device's exterior protects a speedy, stable processor.
Carrying a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, the phone also includes 2GB of RAM. The 4.7-inch screen incorporated a 1080p Super LCD3 display that factors in nicely with the One's camera. Although the camera may not boast as many megapixels as some other mobile devices, the Android phone uses 'Ultrapixel' to attempt to corner the market on low-light photos as well as offering 1080p video.
The HTC One is also currently being offered on other major carriers including AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.
