After being labeled "very low-IQ" by Donald Trump, Rep. Jasmine Crockett fired back with confidence, saying she'd "absolutely" face the former president in a battle of wits, escalating a feud that began with her controversial nickname for Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

The clash began on March 22 at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles, where Texas Congresswoman Crockett referred to Governor Abbott—who uses a wheelchair—as "Governor Hot Wheels," later clarifying the jab was aimed at his immigration policies, not his disability.

The remark quickly went viral and drew backlash from Republicans, Fox News reported. On March 26, Trump joined the outrage during a radio interview, calling Crockett a "lowlife" and "very low-IQ," and questioning her fitness for leadership in the Democratic Party.

He went on to say he initially mistook her for a comedian, not a lawmaker. Crockett stood by her comments, denied any reference to Abbott's condition, and blasted the backlash as hypocritical, pointing to Trump's own history of mocking people with disabilities.

Crockett reignited the feud during an April 22 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where she responded with a confident "absolutely" when asked if she would take a public IQ test head-to-head against Trump.

The audience laughed as Kimmel played footage of Trump calling Crockett the Democrats' "new star" during an April National Republican Congressional Committee Dinner, mocking the party for propping her up.

"It says a lot when you're supposed to be the leader of the free world, and you're worried about a sophomore in the House," Crockett said in response to Trump's comments.

Crockett is now facing a formal censure resolution filed by Rep. Randy Weber (R-Galveston), while Abbott himself dismissed her as part of a Democratic Party focused on "hate." Despite mounting criticism, Crockett doubled down on her message, defending her track record and calling out selective outrage.
