Where Is Robin Roberts? 'Good Morning America' Host To Return Full Time After Labor Day [PHOTOS]
Robin Roberts will return to Good Morning America full time following Labor Day weekend.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Roberts discussed her next big step in returning to the morning show she departed a year ago to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Currently, Roberts hosts GMA four days per week. But starting next week, she will return to a full schedule with hosting all five weekdays.
"But I love that I start on a four-day week. Right? Snuck another one in there," she joked.
Roberts underwent a bone marrow transplant last September after she was diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood and bone marrow disorder. She returned to "GMA" in February, after taking more than six months of medical leave.

“It’s just [that] I was surrounded by a group of friends who loved me through this past year, and my gift to them was a trip to Hawaii,” she told VF Daily. “Because in the hospital, I had a picture of Maui; I had a picture of the beach, and that was my motivation. So to have us all there was all I really needed.”
During the trip, Roberts revealed she hit a milestone -- playing tennis and being active again for the first time since she was diagnosed.
“[I did] a little paddle boarding. I played a little tennis, but I had to get to a tennis machine. Everyone was afraid to get out there on the court with me,” she said. “My friends aren’t as athletic as I am.”
“It was great to feel that way again, to feel stronger, and being able to be a little more active.”
Up until now, she had done a little yoga, but nothing strenuous. “This was the first time that I’ve really done that; it felt great,” Roberts said.
