Will Smith Jada Smith $42 Million Mansion For Sale Sparks Split Rumors
Will smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith were rumored to be splitting after reports went viral they were putting their $42 million home on the market.
Real Estalker reported on Aug. 27 that the A-list Hollywood couple was selling their 25,000 sq. foot Calabasas home which took seven years to build because they were breaking up.
A rep for the couple told Mail Online the report is "completely false and their home is not on the market."
The Calabasas mansion, which rests 150-acres, has ample garage space, which can hold up to eight cars. Stephen Samuelson, an architect from Santa Fe described it as "various interpretations of adobe in Persian, Moroccan, Spanish, as well as Southwest American cultures." He shared his description for a cover story on the Smiths and their lavish home in the September 2011 issue of Architectural Digest.
Architectural Digest reported they used two architects, Waldo Fernandez and Judith Lance to design the home that has a billiards room, meditation lounge and state-of-the-art recording studio, where daughter Willow could record her music. There is also a man-made lake with a small, private island feel that is accessible by a footbridge.
The report also claimed that the couple sold their 7-acre Hawaii in Kauiau for $20 million.
The couple own several homes. Will, a Philadelphia native, owns a 4,100 sq. foot home in Pennsylvania. In California, he has two homes: a pad in Woodland Hills and a $3.4 million home in the exclusives Hidden Hills. The Hidden Hills property was the temporary home until renovations were complete in their Calabasas mansion. The couple and their two children moved in when the renovations were complete in 2011.
The couple wed in 1997 and are parents to Jaden, 15 and Willow, 12.
Will, Jaden and Willow attended the MTV Video Music Awards together in Brooklyn's Barclay Center on Aug. 25. Earlier, the trio watched Jada perform with her female metal band at the Afro Punk Festival that day.
