The Chicago Bears and the Cincinnati Bengals will faceoff this afternoon in their first match of the regular season.

After a month of preseason matchups, the NFL 2013 season official kicked off on Thursday with a clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos. Today will see the continuation of Week One as 13 games take place across the nation.

During the preseason weeks, Chicago won two of their four matchups, beating the San Diego Chargers in Week 2 and triumphing over Oakland in Week Three while falling to the Carolina Panthers in Week One and the Cleveland Browns in Week Four.

For their part, Cincinnati was victories in three of their four preseason games, beating Atlanta in Week One, crushing the Tennessee Titans in Week Two, and defeating the Indianapolis Colts in Week Four after losing to Dallas in Week Three.

The Bangles will enter the fray with former Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton while the Chicago Bears will field 30-year-old Jay Culter. Despite Dalton's younger age, the Bengals QB has significantly more touch down passes and yardage than is Chicago counterpart, according to NFL.com.

The Bears/Bengals game will kickoff at 1 p.m. at Solider Field in Chicago. Fans can catch the game online at NFL Games or through NFL Live.
