The Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins will face off this evening in their first match of the regular season.

After a month of preseason matchups, the NFL 2013 season official kicked off on Thursday with a clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos. Following yesterday's 13 games, Week One will finish off with two rounds of Monday Night Football.

During the preseason weeks, Philadelphia won two of their four games, beating Carolina in Week Two and Jacksonville in Week Three. However, the Pennsylvanian team bookended the month with two losses, falling to the New England Patriots in Week One and crumpling before the New York Jets in Week Four.

For their part, the Redskins entered the regular season with an incredibly strong record. Winning all of their preseason matches, the Redskins beat the Tennessee Titans, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Entering the game with Michael Vick as quarterback, the Eagles defense will have to contend with the Redskin's Robert Griffin III and his 20 touchdown passes.

Fans who can't catch the game on television can live stream it at Watch ESPN.

The game will kickoff at 6:55 p.m. EST at FedEx Field in Maryland.
