The New York Jets and the New England Patriots will face off this evening in the first match of the NFL's Week 2.

After a month of preseason matchups, the NFL 2013 season official kicked off last week with a clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos. Now, with one week of regular season games behind them, the Jets and the Patriots are prepared to go head to head at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.

During the preseason weeks, the Jets won three of their four games. Although they fell to Detroit in Week 1, the New York team won against Jacksonville in Week 2, defeated the Giants in Week 3, and crushed Philadelphia in Week 4. Last Sunday saw the team just barely scrape though with a win against the Buccaneers.

For their part, the Patriots also won three of their preseason matchups, triumphing over Philadelphia in Week 1, defeating Tampa Bay in Week 2, and beating out the Giants in Week 4. While New England suffered a major loss to Detroit in Week 3, the team rallied when it counted last Sunday and claimed victory over Buffalo.
