The drama surrounding women's tennis player Martina Hingis and her estranged husband, Thibault Hutin, continues with new reports that the athlete attacked him, with help from her mother and mother's boyfriend.

According to UPI, Hutin, a French showjumper, claims that things turned violent between him and his estranged wife on Monday when the tennis star came to his home and attacked him.

"On Monday evening, I was in our shared apartment when the doorbell rang," he told German newspaper Blick. "In the course of a dispute to Martina and her mother Melanie Molitor pounced on me, beat me and scratched. My upbringing forbids me to beat women. I resisted every effort, but Mario Widmer, the partner of Melanie, struck me in the head with a DVD player."

Hutin called police after the trio took his credit card and passport as well. He has since had the valuables returned to him.

"They wanted to kill me. I'm shocked! I never thought it would go so far," he said.

Hutin and Hingis decided to separate after Hutin reportedly found the star cheating on him after one year of marriage. He forgave her, only to find her cheating again.

Hutin told the London Evening Standard at the time about the incidents:

"Martina has a very personal conception of morality. She has always been like that; I think she has always been unfaithful to her boyfriends."

The two married in 2010. Hingis captured five Grand Slam titles in the 90s, including winning the Australian Open three times.

This is not the first claim Hutin has made about the tennis star recently. He also claims she tried breaking into his car last Friday, according to Web Pro News.

"Someone had to tamper with the engine. Because besides me only Martina has a key to the garage, for me there is only one possible culprit: Martina," he told police.
