Following the discovery of a Beta reference in a PS3 XML file, a Grand Theft Auto V release date for the PC now seems as though it's looming.

When the video game was initially announced, Rockstar Games didn't address Windows as one of its avenues for distribution. However, game enthusiasts have continually speculated over its PC release.

With GTA IV being a success on the PC, many gamers continue to make the assumption that the fifth one would be launched on the respective platform as well.

A PC version launch has traditionally come after the Xbox and PlayStation releases, with a six month period in between them. Rockstar has yet to confirm it thus far.

However, a leaked game code reportedly reveals "system graphics details for the PC version of GTA 5. There is a critical piece of code which hints at the impending release of PC version," according to International Business Times.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise is aiming to have its fifth installment become the largest selling game of 2013. It has already broken records after its release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation consoles, with roughly $1 billion in earnings in the first three days it was available for purchase.
