The former Nickelodeon star has been under court-order psychiatric care since July, according to Reuters. Stemming from an incident where Amanda Bynes allegedly stared a fire outside in Thousand Oaks, the psychiatric hold was extended to a long-term hold in late August.

In early August, Amanda Bynes' parents were granted temporary conservatorship over their daughter, according to TMZ. This move gave Lynn Bynes the ability to oversee Amanda's will-being and finances.

While Amanda Bynes currently faces charges in New York City related to marijuana possession, a previous California DUI case stemming from 2012 has currently hit a momentary deceleration. Attorney Richard Hutton stated that his client was unable to stand trial due to her mental health and a judge has referred the case to the mental health division to determine Amanda Bynes' mental competency, according to the New York Daily News.
