A new update has come out for Grand Theft Auto 5, and is now accessible via download on the Internet.

The gamer must start up GTA 5, and an automatic prompt to download the update for the game should then appear. After that, an "Online" tab from within the game itself will show "Online options and information."

According to International Business Times, Rockstar Games had made the announcement that the web update would be available for download at "around 7AM ET."

The company had put a warning out that playing the respective game was "contingent on both Title updates becoming available on each console's network."

Rockstar informed game owners that 7AM ET was just a "general timeframe" and told them to check Facebook or Twitter in order to receive any updates.

With GTA IV being a success on the PC, many gamers continue to assume that the fifth one would be coming out for it as well.

Interesting to note, a PC version has traditionally come following Xbox and PlayStation releases, with a six month period in between them. Rockstar has yet to confirm it at this point in time.

However, a leaked game code reportedly reveals "system graphics details for the PC version of GTA 5. There is a critical piece of code which hints at the impending release of PC version," stated IBT.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise is looking to have its fifth installment become the largest selling game of 2013. It has already broken records after its release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation consoles, with roughly $1 billion in earnings in the first three days it was available for purchase.
