Miley Cyrus' Liam Hemsworth Dedication on 'Bangerz' Album, Says 'I Love You' to Ex-Fiance on 2013 Record
Miley Cyrus thanks -- and says she loves -- her former fiance, Liam Hemsworth, in the liner notes of her new album, Bangerz.
It is unclear when the dedication was written but it is likely the 20-year-old singer penned it before the couple ended their engagement on Sept. 16.
After thanking her family and producers, Cyrus ended by giving Hemsworth, 23, a shout-out.
"I could not have made this album without one person...FE," she wrote, calling the Hunger Games actor by his nickname, FeFe. "Thank you for inspiring me (PS. I Love You)."
Cyrus first revealed that she called Hemsworth "FeFe" after accidentally tweeting out a screenshot of one of their text message exchanges, according to E! News. She later deleted the post, claimed her account had been hacked, but then said "realized I'm just an idiot & somehow butt tweeted my conversation."
Bangerz features collaborations with Britney Spears, Nelly, Future, Big Sean and French Montana. Its second single, Wrecking Ball, got Cyrus on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in her career.
Sean Garrett worked with Cyrus on the album and told EnStars that certain songs focus on the singer's personal life. Bangerz was written while Cyrus was still engaged to Hemsworth and many wonder if its tracks were inspired by strains on their relationship and the ultimate end of their engagement. She sings about her man not being there when she needs him in Drive; in SMS, Cyrus talks about not wasting time waiting for a man who is indecisive; and in Wrecking Ball she pleads while saying, "don't you ever say I just walked away/I will always love you."
Bangerz hits stores Oct. 8.
