As Texas PC Giant Dell transitions from a public to private company, they announced a long list of new computers and tablet devices in hopes of putting the focus back on its devices while taking on its major Apple and Android competitors.

The company is releasing the new XPS 13 and 15 ultrathin laptops to compete against Apple's MacBook Air, according to CNET.

The XPS 13 boasts a 0.7-inch thickness on a 13-inch laptop with Intel's new Haswell processor built-in. With either a 128GB or 256GB storage capacity, two full USB 3.0 ports, 1920x1080-pixel-resolution touch-screen display, and optional data encryption, the company seems to be pinning its hopes on corporate IT departments. It is expected to retail at $999.

The XPS 15 will also boast a 0.7-inch thickness, but has a much sharper 3200X1800 pixel resolution, three USB 3.0 ports, a full SD slot, HDMI, and a single USB 2.0 port. The computer, which will come with either a 500GB or 1TB hard drive, is expected to retail at $1,499.

The company is releasing affordable tablets as well, including the all-new Venue 7,8 and 11. While the 11, which has a detachable keyboard, is expected to go head-to-head with Microsoft's Surface Pro 2 (released Oct. 22), the 7 and 8 will enter the Android world by offering cheaper competitive options to Google's $229 Nexus 7 and Apple's iPad Mini, CNET claims.

The Venue 7, retailing at $149, boasts 16GB of internal storage with a modest 1280x800-pixel resolution. The Venue 8, the slightly larger model, will retail at $189.
