Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici Engagement: 'The Bachelor' 2013 Star's Family Thinks Future Bride 'Not Christian Enough'?
Sean Lowe's family did not attend his engagement party with his fiance' Catherine Giudici, which has caused speculation that his family does not approve of her.
An insider revealed that the couple's soiree, that was held in Giudici's hometown of Seattle, was attended exclusively by her family and friends. But none of Lowe's family came out to fete the pair.
The Oct. 4 event took place at Ballard Annex Oyster House. The guests later attended BalMar lounge afterward.
"It was weird to have an engagement without the groom's family," a source told Radar Online. "The guests included only her friends and family and not his. I think that says a lot about how Sean's family feels about her."
The insider said Lowe's family may not be completely fond of his future wife because "she's not Christian enough."
"I don't think their families are on same page," the insider slipped. "She's not Christian enough; too edgy."
The bride-to-be shared pictures from their engagement party the following day. She thanked her friends on Instagram for throwing a fabulous event for them.
"Thank you to my fantastic friends for the engagement party of the year!" she wrote at the time.
The couple went to visit Seattle a month after they moved to Dallas for a quieter lifestyle.
"They've finally made the move to Dallas as of this week," a friend of the couple told Life & Style of their move. "They're really happy together and excited to start their new life."
The couple announced on Good Morning America on Monday that they will walk down the aisle on Jan. 26, 2013 -- and it will air live on television. It is the first Bachelor wedding to air live.
Lowe explained they agreed to air it live on television because they wanted to share the experience with their fans.
"The Bachelor is such a cool experience because people at home feel like they know us and they're invested in our relationship," he said on GMA. "We have no problem sharing the actual wedding with everyone who has been with us so far."
