NHL fans can live stream tonight's faceoff between the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders free online.

The two teams will take the ice at 7 p.m. ET from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.

Entering their eighth game of the season, the Edmonton Oilers have a 1-5-1 record. The Canadian team has had a tough season so far, starting of the year with a loss to the Winnipeg Jets. After losing to the Vancouver Canucks, the Oilers skated to their first victory against the New Jersey Devils. Coming off a four game losing streak, Edmonton is currently in seventh place for the Pacific Division with three points, according to ESPN.

Coming into tonight's game, the New York Islanders are 2-2-2. Starting off the season strong with a shootout victory against the New Jersey Devils, the Islanders also crushed the Phoenix Coyotes to the tune of 6-1. The New York team enters tonight's home match after a three losses to the Chicago Blackhawks, the Nashville Predators, and the Buffalo Bills. Currently in third for the Metropolitan Division, the Islanders have six points, according to ESPN.
