Officials dropped Cee Lo Green's sexual assault charge for allegedly spiking a woman's drink but he's not totally in the clear yet, TMZ reported.

The singer, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, will soon be looking at a felony charge for "furnishing (or possessing) ecstasy," L.A. County officials reportedly said.

The 39-year-old denied allegations that he drugged a woman -- despite her claims -- and urged officers to conduct a thorough investigation. He also said he and the woman never dated, though she told officers they had been together for months and even hooked up before.

The woman said she and Green were at dinner at sushi restaurant in downtown Los Angeles when the Crazy singer slipped ecstasy in her drink. The next thing she remembered was waking up naked in a bed with Green. Authorities investigated and found holes in her story as well as not enough evidence to move forward with the case. However, she did have an audio recording that proved Green had ecstasy in his possession.

NBC News reported that Green did admit to using ecstasy, which is also known as MDMA or Molly, but maintained his innocence that he put it in the woman's drink.

In the tape Green does not mention slipping ecstasy in the woman's drink but does say he has the drug in his possession, according to the website. The recording was not released to the public.

The Voice mentor could be arraigned as early as Monday afternoon.
