Fox News' Sean Hannity is now helping a former phone operator for the Affordable Care Act that he got fired after a conversation they had was broadcast.on air.

Erling Davis, who works for a private contract company, revealed Thursday on Hannity's show that she had been fired for having a conversation on the air with him three days earlier. Hannity called the hotline on Monday and quizzed her for 10 minutes about the problems with the Healthcare.gov website, and the script she was supposed to read to people calling in with complaints.

"I remember her saying, 'We can't have this type of stuff going on here, so we have to release you,' " Davis said she recalled the human resources person telling her after she was fired. "They said that no contact with the media. No type of media whatsoever. We're not allowed to do that at the company."

Hannity will personally compensate Davis for a year's tax-free salary of $26,000 and will try to help her find a new job so she can continue supporting her two children.

"It's not your fault I called," he told Davis.

Hannity called the hotline after President Barack Obama gave out the toll-free number on Monday for those having trouble getting on the website, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

When Hannity called Davis on Monday, she read him the script she was supposed to tell-over as part of her job:

"Thanks for your interest in the health insurance marketplace. We are having a lot of visitors trying to use our website right now. This is causing some glitches for some people trying to create an account or log in. Keep trying and thanks for your patience. You might have better success during off-peak hours like later at night or early in the morning. We'll continue working to improve the site so you can get covered.".

The Insurance Marketplace website has been plagued with problems since it first rolled out earlier in October due to high volumes of traffic.
