After a very memorable conclusion to Game 3 last night, the 2013 MLB World Series continues with Game 4 in St. Louis on Sunday, Oct. 27.

The latest encounter between the Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals comes after a controversial play to end Game 3, as Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig scored the winning run after interference was called by Red Sox 3rd baseman, Will Middlebrooks.

Middlebrooks fell down trying to catch an errant throw from catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia. While on the ground, Middlebrooks got tangled with Craig, causing the Cardinals star to trip. Whether the blunder was intentional or not, umpire Jim Joyce called obstruction.

Much to the chagrin of the Red Sox, St. Louis took the 5-4 victory and 2-1 series lead. Boston now looks to refocus.

Clay Buchholz will take the mound for the Red Sox tonight. Buchholz is battling fatigue. After going 12-1 with a 1.74 ERA during the regular season, he is 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA in the postseason.

Lance Lynn will get the start for St. Louis. Despite this only being Lynn's third Major League season, the 26-year-old will be making his 20th playoff appearance.

Lynn had a successful regular season, but he's been inconsistent thus far in the playoffs. In the N.L. Division Series, Lynn gave up five runs in 4 1/3 innings to the Pittsburgh Pirates. However, he recovered in the NL Championship Series. In 7 1/3 innings, the hurler held the Los Angeles Dodgers to just two runs.

If the thrilling ending to Game 3 was any indication of what's to come, this matchup will undoubtedly be exciting from the start.
