From executive producer J.J Abrams and Fringe's J.H. Wyman, the new television series Almost Human is set to air Nov. 17 on Fox.

Abrams spoke about how Almost Human will be different than Fringe.

"I would hope that fans of Fringe would like Almost Human, though the shows couldn't be more different in everyway. They're elements of odd technology that are themes or storylines in the show, but it's fundamentally a different series."

Producer/creator Wyman describes how the show is his take on the future.

"I think it's a very sort of hopeful future. People still have birthday parties, people still want the best for their kids, people still see a future for themselves and the world. It's my take on what I believe the future to be. I think the human race is resilient and we will survive. "

The police drama takes place in the year 2048 where every human cop is paired with an android, because androids are emotionless and make practical decisions.

Minka Kelly will make her television return as Valerie Stahl. She told E! Online why the new show is like nothing she's ever seen.

"It's a really fun show. It has everything. There's relationships, there's drama, there's action. I think it's a really unique show. It's a unique world. I haven't seen anything like it before. There's something for everyone."

Kelly's character will be a human cop.

"The thing that's different about my character in this world is that she still connects emotionally. The human connection really is her strength when it comes to getting criminals to tell her the truth and that resonates with me."

Almost Human premieres Sunday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on this series.
