NHL fans can live stream tonight's faceoff between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Carolina Hurricanes for free online.

Entering their 12th game of the season, the Pittsburgh Penguins also have a 7-4-0 record. The Pennsylvanian team started of the season with a three match winning streak but have recently fallen on hard times. After skating to victory against the New Jersey Devils, the Buffalo Sabres, the Carolina Hurricanes, the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Edmonton Oilers, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Vancouver Canucks, the Penguins have lost their last three games against the Colorado Avalanche, the New York Islanders, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Penguins are still hanging onto first place for Metropolitan Division with 14 points, according to ESPN.

Coming into tonight's game, the Carolina Hurricanes have a 4-4-3 record. The Hurricanes started off the season with a loss to the Detroit Red Wings and have had several weeks of up-and-down success. While the team has managed to pull in wins against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Washington Capitals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the New York Islanders, they have suffered defeats at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Los Angeles Kings, the Phoenix Coyotes, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Minnesota Wild, and the Colorado Avalanche. As Carolina prepares to face the Penguins for a second time, the team is currently in second place for the Metropolitan Division with 11 points, according to ESPN.
