NHL fans can live stream tonight's faceoff between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers for free online.

The two teams will take the ice at 7:30 p.m. ET from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Entering their 12th game of the season, the Montreal Canadiens are 6-5-0. After losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the season opener, the Canadiens went on to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers, the Edmonton Oilers, the Vancouver Canucks, the Winnipeg Jets, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Anaheim Ducks. Following a defeat at the hands of the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, Montreal is now in fifth place for the Atlantic Division with 12 points, according to ESPN.

Coming into tonight's game, the New York Rangers are 3-6-0. After losing to the Phoenix Coyotes in the first match of the year, the Rangers picked up their first victory against the Los Angeles Kings. New York Rangers then proceeded to fall before the San Jose Sharks, the Anaheim Ducks, the St. Louis Blues, the New Jersey Devils, and the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite skating to victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, the Rangers are currently in seventh for the Metropolitan Division with six points, according to ESPN.
