After months of speculation, Google's Nexus 5 is now available as of Oct. 31.

The LG-manufactured Nexus 5 ossesses the latest version of Android known as 4.4 or KitKat.

The phone is 4.59 ounces. It comes equipped with a 2.2Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM, pushing pixels to a glorious 4.95-inch 1920 x 1080 HD display, according to engadget.

The device will also have wireless charging once again.

Instead of being constructed primarily of glass like its predecessor, the phone sports a "silky texture" plastic. Even the side buttons of the phone are noticeably softer, which feels better than the regular plastic buttons we have grown accustomed to.

Like the previous smartphone, the front is covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The benefit of Gorilla Glass 3 is its thinness, which makes the phone slimmer overall.

The performance is up to snuff as well. Scrolling through menus and launching apps goes extra fast. The phone's 8-megapixel camera was also able to capture numerous photos in a speedy interval.

The newly designed rear-facing camera is another impressive feature. Despite being just an 8-megapixel sensor, it now has optical image stabilization (OIS). OIS reduces blur. The lens housing, is moved by a small gyro and motor actuator, which in turn captures the clearest image possible.

HDR+ makes it possible for the Nexus 5 to capture many images and exposures, while combining them. This amazing feature can compensate for motion, when trying to photograph a moving target.

The Nexus 5 will cost $349 for the 16GB and $399 for the 32GB.
