Starting off the season with a defeat at the hands of the Boston Bruins, the Lightning's early season began to take shape following a series of wins against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Florida Panthers. Although the Lightning recently defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Florida Panthers, they lost to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. The Lightning are currently in second place for the Atlantic division with 16 points, according to ESPN.
