New testimony in the Simon Gittany trial alleged that he engaged in a violent battle with his former fiancée, Lisa Harnum, moments before she fell from a 15-story balcony and died.

A neighbor, Susan Glanville, heard banging on her own apartment door and various screams for help moments before Harnum fell to her death in Sydney, she testified in court Monday.

"Help me, Help me, God help me...it was a real loud scream, like an 'I'm afraid,' scream," Glanville said on the witness stand at Gittany's murder trial about what she allegedly heard. "As I heard the banging, I went around the corridor, around the corner[of the apartment] and I could see the door shaking. I heard a man's raised voice yelling...as I walked towards the door [there was] silence."

Glanville also testified that she heard what sounded like a piercing scream from outdoors followed by sirens moments later, according to The Daily Mail.

Gittany is being tried for the murder of Harnum and stands accused of throwing his fiancee off the balcony of their home and to her death after finding out her plans to leave him, Enstars previously reported.

On Friday, Nov. 1, CCTV videos shown in court featured Gittany dragging Harnum into their apartment with his hands over her mouth as she tried to escape. Additional footage, taken after Harnum's death, showed the accused murderer frantically pacing the hallway outside the apartment then appearing distraught in an elevator as he rushed outside to see if she was alright.

Gittany pleaded not guilty to the crime and said Harnum died after she stepped over the balcony and onto a narrow awning. He is expected to take the stand Tuesday.
