Three actresses may be getting tested to play Wonder Woman in the highly anticipated Man of Steel 2 a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman.

Variety is reporting that the producers behind Man of Steel 2 are looking for three actresses to test for the female lead of the movie. While not confirmed to be Wonder Woman, she is described as "tall, brunette, athletic and exotic," all traits that match the iconic female superhero.

According to the report, Fast and Furious actress Gal Gadot, G.I. Joe: Retaliation's Elodie Yung and Quantum of Solace star Olga Kurylenko are in the process of being tested for the coveted role. It's possible that the role is for Bruce Wayne/Batman's (Ben Affleck) love interest as well.

Earlier in the week, Jaimie Alexander was a potential contender to play Wonder Woman in the film, but according to the new report by Variety, she is out of the running considering her status in Marvel films (Man of Steel 2 is rival DC's property).

Additionally, the report claims that the plan to introduce both Wonder Woman and the Flash have been rumored for a long time and are almost "locks" at this point in production. The introduction of these characters would provide a natural flow into the planned Justice League, the counterpart to Marvel's Avengers.

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on July 17, 2015.
