Black Friday Store Hours 2013: Target to Open 8 p.m., Offering Incredible Discounts Throughout Stores [VIDEO]
Target Stores have kept their promise to open on Thanksgiving Day, but unlike other retailers that have decided to open before Thanksgiving Dinner has been cleared, the retailer has chosen a slightly later opening time of 8 p.m.
They will be joining the ranks of Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears and Kohl's, all of whom will open their doors later than some of their competitors like Best Buy (6 p.m.), Toys 'R Us (5 p.m.) and Kmart (6 a.m.).
Though they are opening later than others, it is still the earliest the retailer has opened for the biggest shopping day of the year.
"For both our guests and team members, Black Friday is an exciting event that officially marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season. By offering advance access to deals at target.com and opening our stores earlier, we are making it easier for guests to build a Black Friday ritual that works for them," Kathee Tesija, executive vice-president of Merchandising and Supply said in a statement. "No matter where or when they choose to stop at Target, guests will be able to kick off their holiday shopping with deep discounts on a wide variety of the season's most popular items."
Some of the items Target is offering on steep discounts for Black Friday include: Nikon L320 camera for $99, a 50" Element 1080p LED HDTV for $229, an iPad Mini Wi-Fi 16 GB for $299 with a free $75 Target giftcard, iPad Air Wi-Fi 16GB for $479 with a free $100 Target giftcard, XBOX 360 Kinect Bundle for $189.99, classic board games for $5.00, $19 Razor Scooters, movies for as low as $1.00, various kitchen appliances, and 40 percent off denim and sweaters for women, men and kids.
Friday only, shoppers who spend $75 or more will be eligble to receive an additional 20 percent off a purchase made the following week (Dec. 1-Dec.7), and Saturday shoppers can get all single rolls of holiday wrapping paper Buy one, Get one free.
