Zac Efron Breaks Jaw: 'That Awkward Moment' Star Has Jaw Wired Shut Following Fall VIDEO
Zac Efron will not be smiling for the camera anytime soon.
A weekend encounter with an unseen puddle resulted in a broken jaw for the 26-year-old actor, according to E!.
With his jaw wired shut and several stitches working to close up gash, Efron has been sidelined from his current press tour for That Awkward Moment, reports EntertainmentWise.
The recent injury compounds an already difficult year for the former Disney Channel heartthrob.
Efron reportedly completed a stint in rehab last spring due to an alleged cocaine addiction while working on The Neighbors with Seth Rogan, according to TMZ. The site also quoted several sources that refuted a popular belief that the rehab was for alcohol.
"It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine," a source told TMZ.
The Parkland actor was also linked to Charlie Sheen, reports Radar Online, and the two spent time together both at Sheen's home and on the set of Anger Management.
"Zac was in Charlie's inner circle for a few months. The two became very good friends. Zac was spending a lot of time at Charlie's Beverly Hills mansion and they were definitely partying together," a source told Radar.
Efron can next be seen in That Awkward Moment, which hits theaters on Jan. 31.
