With Netflix's hit series, House of Cards, gearing up for its second season, fans are undoubtedly dying to find out what lies ahead in the respective episodes.

Although spoilers on the political drama have been slim pickings as of late, a couple of tidbits have recently come out that will surely serve to whet the creative palettes of its audience for its sophomore installment.

Executive producer, Beau Willimon, recently took to Twitter to reveal that the cast and crew were wrapped shooting the current season.

"WRAP. 9:21 EST. Seas 2."

Interesting to note moving forward, Netflix is currently in the midst of negotiations for a third season of HoC, despite false chatter that the second season would be its last.

While on the red carpet for the 2013 Emmys, actress Sakina Jaffrey (Linda Vasquez) stated that season 2 will surpass the expectations that its opening installment reached, calling it "Surprisingly thrilling. I thought we'd have to keep the pace slow just because it's so mind-boggling what happened last year, but it's just as crazy. The first episode I said 'What? No way.'"

While no air date for House of Cards has yet to be determined, the show is slated to start up again at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest news on the popular series.
