As Black Friday creeps closer, shoppers are left comparing the ads of their favorite stores to see where they will get the best deals this year.

Some shoppers will immediately focus their sights on a major electronics retailer like Best Buy, assuming that the chain will be offering the best deals in technology. While Best Buy does have some killer deals when it opens its doors at 6 p.m., those who are strictly looking for tablets can also find great deals elsewhere

It may shock consumers this year that some of the best deal on tablets are at places like Office Depot, which beats its main competitors on four different tablet deals. Right behind them with two impressive deals each are Office Max and Target, with Walmart bringing up the rear with one. Whether they're just offering the devices for a cheaper price or providing extra incentives alongside it, all four establishments have better deals than Best Buy on the following tablets:

1. Kindle Fire 8.9" 16GB Tablet: Office Max is offering this tablet for $169.00, a $100 savings off of the usual price

2. Kindle Fire 7" 8 GB Tablet: Office Depot not only has this tablet for $139.99 on Black Friday, but those who purchase it will also receive a $25 VISA Gift-card absolutely free

3. Kindle Fire HD 7" 16 GB Tablet: Office Max wants $169 for this tablet, but will also provide a $10 gift card to their stores with purchase

4. Nook 7" HD 8 GB Tablet: This tablet isn't really being offered anywhere except for Target, but their price is too good not to mention. The retailer is offering a $50 savings on the tablet, with a two-day sale price of only $79

5. Google Nexus 7" 32 GB Tablet: At Office Depot, shoppers will receive a $20 discount on this device, which will retail for $249.99

6. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7" 8 GB Tablet & Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1" 16 GB Tablet: Office Depot crushes all competitors when it comes to the Galaxy Tabs because of the extra incentives they will be offering. The 7" model in white will retail at $159.99 (a savings of $40), while the 10.1" model in gold brown will retail at $299.99 (a savings of $100). To sweeten the deal, customers who buy these tabs will also receive a free 16GB SanDisk memory card and a free Targus Stylus with purchase.

7. iPad Air Wi-Fi 16 GB Tablet: The newest entry into the market for full-sized iPads will be available at Target stores on Black Friday for $479.00, which is a $20 savings off of regular price to begin with. What actually makes it a better deal is that the company will be offering a free $100 Target gift-card with every purchase of the device.

8. iPad Mini Wi-Fi 16 GB Tablet: Here, Walmart is the retailer to beat. Their offer of $299 is no different from what Apple themselves would normally charge for the device, but like Target for the Air, they are offering a $100 gift card to their stores with purchase.

These retailers all have extended shopping hours on Thanksgiving and will open their doors at the following times:

Office Depot: Stores will open at 8 p.m. Thursday, but the deals are only available for three hours before the doors close again at 11 p.m. They will then reopen on Friday morning at 8 a.m. and Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

Office Max: Stores open at 8 p.m. Thursday, but deals will run at various times.

Target: The company opens their doors at 8 p.m. Thursday and will remain open until 11 p.m. Friday. The deals continue Saturday during normal business hours of 8 a.m.- 11 p.m.

Walmart: While the company will be open on Thanksgiving Day, the Black Friday deals will not begin until 6 p.m., with new deals being rolled out at 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
