'Love And Hip-Hop New York' Season 4 Star Amina Buddafly Explains Peter Gunz Secret Shotgun Wedding (AUDIO)
VH1's Love & Hip-Hop New York star Amina Buddafly explained how she secretly wed Peter Gunz, who is in a relationship and living with Tara Wallace for 13 years.
Buddalfy said in a recent interview that after a night of drinking, they decided to get married and they knew what they were doing.
"We woke up, and we weren't drunk anymore," she told Ohio's Power 107.5 radio station. "It was early in the morning, and we were both clear in our heads. It was a spontaneous thing. We had been talking about it for a few weeks, for a little while."
When asked if she ever suspected he might have been in another relationship, Buddafly said she wasn't concerned because she felt she was the top priority.
"As we moved on, months passed. I was wondering and I asked him, but it was always about him and I," she shared. "I really didn't bother. Maybe I should have."
She also explained the need to tell Wallace and go public about her marriage to Gunz.
"I just need to make it clear. I'm the wife. It needs to be respected. Everyone's talking bad about me, calling me all these names. I just had to make it clear, I am above you," she said.
Yet, Buddafly admitted that she and Gunz probably should not have been so spontaneous and confessed, "If we had thought it through, we probably wouldn't be married right now."
It was revealed during a recent an episode of LHHNY that Gunz and Buddafly secretly wed while he was still living with Wallace and their two sons. Amina arranged a meeting with Tara to tell her about her relationship with Gunz.
"I'm so deep in it with [Peter] it's not just that we're f---ing each other. We love each other," she explained to Tara.
After Tara called Amina an "outlet" for cheating with Gunz, the singer retorted, "I'm an outlet? You know what, you want me to tell you something? I'm his wife! And ain't nothing fake about that!"
Tara became so upset she slapped Amina across her face.
A new episode of VH1's Love & Hip-Hop season 4 will premiere at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, Dec. 2.
