Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Robin Roberts & 'Duck Dynasty' Cast Named 'Most Fascinating People Of The Year' In 2013
Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and her fiancé Kanye West, Robin Roberts and the cast of Duck Dynasty were named in Barbara Walters' Most Fascinating People of 2013 list.
Walters announced the nine people viewers can expect to be profiled by her in the 90-minute special that will air on ABC on Dec. 18, according to TheWrap.com.
Other names that were announced were those that dominated headlines this year, including Prince William's and Kate Middleton's son Prince George, Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts and long distance swimmer Diana Nyad. Surprisingly, Walters also added NSA leaker Edward Snowden.
Cyrus was named for grabbing headlines following her controversial Blurred Lines duet with Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.
Lawrence captivated America before and after her Best Supporting Actress Oscar win for 2012's Silver Linings Playbook. Her recently released film, Hunger Games: Catching Fire was released on Nov. 22 and has already earned $573 million in box office sales (based on national and overseas ticket sales), according to E! News.
West was named because he famously spewed rants about his trouble with the fashion and entertainment industry in several television and radio interviews. His November appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live was one of the most-highest rated segments for the late night talk show host, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The person who landed no. 1 on the list will be announced during the program. The special will also include highlights from Walters' previous Fascinating People shows since it first aired in 1993. This year's show will be her last--Walters announced in May that she will be retiring from television in 2014.
