Teresa and Joe appeared to be having a great time in her latest Twitter picture despite the legal troubles they faced this year.
The couple was hit with 39 charges for a wide range of offenses including failure to report income to the IRS and bank fraud, TMZ reported on July 29. They each face a maximum of 20 years in jail for bank fraud and up to 30 years each for the alleged bank schemes, according to the report. The couple has not been arrested but attended several court hearings.
The couple was also hit with two new charges - loan application fraud and bank fraud -- in November. They pleaded not guilty in a New Jersey courtroom on Nov. 20. Both charges each carry maximum penalties of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
Several weeks prior, Joe swerved into oncoming traffic in Montville, N.J. on Nov. 5. He was cited in that case for careless driving in a school zone.
Joe was also supposed to begin trial for separate charges including illegally obtaining a driver's license with his brother's name. He committed fraud and forged his brother's signature after he was arrested for a DUI in March 2011. That trial has been postponed and will be rescheduled for 2014, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry.
