Celebrities Who Adopt PHOTOS: Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman & More
Several Hollywood celebrities have adopted children over the years, especially ones who have been single mothers to the kids they give new homes to.
From Sandra Bullock's announcement which proved she would rise from the ashes of her torched marriage to Jesse James, to stars like Sheryl Crow and Charlize Theron who just didn't want to wait for the right relationship to come along first, adoption has soared to the forefront of Hollywood's celebrity culture.
Angelina Jolie has no doubt been the most famous celebrity face attached to adoption, with three kids from three different countries, who were all added to her family during her relationships with ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton and current fiancé Brad Pitt.
Other celebrities have also adopted for some of the same reasons other parents do, due to issues with conceiving children of their own. Though she later conceived one child with Keith Urban, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman had trouble conceiving with Tom Cruise during their marriage, having first an ectopic pregnancy with the actor, then a later miscarriage. The former couple adopted their two kids as a result of the pregnancy struggles.
No matter what inspired these celebrities to adopt a child, all have and as a result, have changed these children's lives forever, though some have been scrutinized for their parenting as well over the years. Enstars has compiled a list of 10 celebrities, both single parents and couples, who have adopted children over the years:
The first celebrity featured is Sheryl Crow, who adopted sons Wyatt Steven in 2007, and Levi James in 2010.
