Britney Spears talked about her desire to have more children and why a baby girl would help her feel less alone in her cover story for the January 2014 issue of InStyle.

The singer, who launches a residency in Las Vegas on Dec. 27, longs for a daughter.

"I would really like to have another baby, a girl. I think she would be like a mini-me," the 32-year-old told the publication. "I think it's going to be crazy. I'm not going to feel as alone in the world anymore. I'm going to feel like I have a second person, like, that's me."

The Perfume singer has sons, Preston, 8, and Jayden, 7, from her marriage to Kevin Federline. Spears admitted that she has doubts and fears when it comes to parenting, as most mothers do.

"As a mom, you have all these situations you go through, and you're like, 'What is going on? Is this normal? Is this a phase? Or what is this?' and then you feel silly for asking questions because you think, 'I'm a mom, I'm supposed to know these things,'" she said. "You're human. To be honest, I wish I had more mom friends."

The pop singer also told the magazine she once got some cosmetic assistance from Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr. Raj Kanodia.

"A doctor I see, Dr. Kanodia, does fun stuff to me sometimes-I've had lip injections before. He has this peptide-based face-care product; it's green and slimy, and you mix it together and put it on your face. It does wonders. You leave it on overnight," Spears shared. "Can you tell I love skin care?"

Though she takes her skin care into high consideration, she is less concerned when it comes to her daily wardrobe.

"When I was younger, I cared a lot more about what I wore. But the older you get, the more you think about what's easy and comfortable. I do like to look good when I go to events, and I like to dress up. That's for the show of it all!" she said. "When I perform, that's the time I know what people expect from me-to have the glitz and the glam and go all out. I understand that. But in my everyday life, I'm more low-key."

Spears added that even she has body insecurities. "I think it's important to look good and feel good about yourself, but I go both ways on it. I think it's cruel how the world puts so much emphasis on our looks."

"But in this business you make a deal with the devil," she explained. "I've learned you kind of have to go with it. What I do calls for me to look good. People expect that. I kind of take it as my job."

The January 2014 issue of InStyle hits newsstands on Friday, Dec. 13.
