'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 6: Cast Members Inspire Jennifer Lawrence In Her Role For 'American Hustle'? [VIDEO]
Jennifer Lawrence credited The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members as her inspiration when she had to put on an accent for her role in American Hustle.
She told MTV she imitated her favorite stars from the reality show when it came to finding an accent for her character, a drunk housewife named Rosalyn.
"I can't tell where it came from because I just kind of started speaking in it, and I've been watching a lot of reality TV shows and those reality TV shows have a lot of New Jersey women, so I can't say that it's not from them. I wish I could, I really wish I could."
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star also said that if she had to choose a Real Housewives franchise to "get in on," it would definitely be the Garden State version.
"That's where I belong," she said.
She tried to coyly hide the fact that she faithfully watches the show, but that didn't seem to work too well for her. Check out the interview and Lawrence's New Jersey accent in the videos below.
American Hustle also stars Christian Bale as Irving, Lawrence's husband and a fraud, as well as Amy Adams and Bradley Cooper.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast started filming season 6 of the Bravo series on Dec. 3. The show's infamous foes, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, reportedly decided to move past their fighting.
"Melissa and Teresa have agreed to play nice, and Theresa is over the ongoing drama. Melissa especially knows viewers are tired of the same drama, so she is giving up on fighting with her sister-in-law," a source revealed. "She now is going to play nice because she got a lot of heat for how she acted last season."
