Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Break Up: Singer Says 'I Was So Scared Of Ever Being Alone' [VIDEO]
We Can't Stop singer Miley Cyrus candidly opened up about her breakup with Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor Liam Hemsworth and for the first time admitted that she was afraid of being alone.
As part of an interview for ABC's Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013, Cyrus said, "I was so scared of ever being alone, and I think, conquering that fear, this year, was actually bigger than any other transition that I had, this entire year."
Cyrus, who called it quits with her fiance' in September after dating for four years, revealed that she was very dependent on Hemsworth. They announced their engagement in the summer of 2012.
"I don't ever want to have to need someone again, where you feel like, without them, you can't be yourself."

Still, Cyrus said she enjoyed the idea of being engaged and does not regret it.
"It was so fun wearing a fat rock for a few years. But now, I just feel like I can actually be happy. I wait for those moments of silence, when I'm just at my house, by myself."
Despite her breakup with Hemsworth, Cyrus said she would want to tie the knot when the time is right.
So what kind of guy does she want?
Earlier this month the Wrecking Ball singer jokingly tweeted that she would "want a boyfriend that will wear jean on jean on jean with [her]." She added a picture of Justin Timberlake and his then girlfriend Britney Spears' matching denim outfits at the 2001 American Music Awards.
The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013 special airs on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
