'Breaking Bad' Aaron Paul Helps Man's Marriage Proposal in Engagement VIDEO, Watch
Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul helped a man propose to his girlfriend -- who happened to be the actor's biggest fan -- on Monday, Dec. 15.
Jason Lord sought out the help of the actor to propose to his girlfriend of three years, Jackie Brader. Lord won a personalized video by the A-lister after having donated money to the charity of Paul's wife.
Lord worked up a very elaborate plan for the big event and Paul was the highlight of the whole affair. The video included a text that gave viewers some relevant history about the couple. One bit of information, which tied in with Lord's special performance, was this:
"One of their earliest dates involved drunkenly dueting to To Be With You by Mr. Big. The song has been an inside joke for them ever since."
The stage was set in a studio in Chicago, and while the preparation for the big production was underway, Lord made a quick call to Brader's father seeking his blessings and asking for her hand in marriage.
One of Brader's friends tricked her into stopping by the studio while they were on their way to get their nails done. It gradually dawned on Brader that something important was afoot as she was seated in the dark theater. The lights came on to reveal Lord in a tuxedo sitting behind the piano and playing the introductory chords to To Be With You while accompanied by a small band. As the song proceeded, many of his friends joined Lord on stage and sang along with him. Brader was seen hysterically laughing throughout the performance.
Once they were done with the song, Paul appeared on the screen behind them in a video recording.
"Hi Jackie, I'm Aaron, I hope all's well in Chicago," he said. "I just want to send you a message on behalf of my good friend Jason, think you know him, who I understand has a very important question to ask you."
Jason then walked up to a teary-eyed Brader and officially proposes to her, to which she ecstatically accepted.
The clip ends with the last bit of Paul's message playing, where he says he hoped she said yes.
"And if you didn't it would be pretty awkward for everyone involved," he added. The actor signed off by wishing the couple good luck.
