Beyoncé Album Release Party PHOTOS at Dave & Buster's in Times Square, Drake Makes a Speech [VIDEO]
Beyonce showed off her love of arcade games by holding a private album release party at Dave & Buster's in Times Square, N.Y. on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Soon after her concert ended at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, the Partition singer made her way over to the famous arcade to celebrate the success of her new self-titled album. Beyonce posted pictures from the event on Instagram.
She was joined by several fans and friends, including Drake, who collaborated with her on the track Mine. At one point, Drake grabbed a microphone and told the crowd, "I just came out tonight to let you know congratulations to each and every one of you that worked on this s--t, for real. And of course to the queen, the utmost congratulations."

Beyonce has already gone platinum since it was secretly released last week exclusively on iTunes. It was also dubbed the No. 1 album in the world out of 100 countries on iTunes less than 48 hours after its release. In addition to Drake, the album also includes collaborations with Beyonce's husband Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake.
As to why she secretly released her album, Beyoncé explained that she wanted to change the way her music is received. In a clip on her Facebook page, posted shortly after the album debuted, she told fans, "I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it."
"I am bored with that. I feel like I'm able to speak directly to my fans. There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give that message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready from me to my fans."
