With Christmas just days away, panicked shoppers are crowding department stores in search of the hottest gifts this year.

While in some cases, it might be too late to get some of these items, others are still available in stores, and will be on sale for the last weekend before Christmas.

For shoppers trying to score last-minute deals on hot toys and electronics, they are in luck. Several stores are offering discounts for in-store and online purchases.

Along with the great sales on the items, stores are offering deals on shipping, as well as guarantees that items can still arrive by Christmas Day.

Best Buy and Toys 'R Us guarantee that any items ordered by 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 will be delivered by Christmas Eve. Target is offering the same deal for orders submitted online by 2 p.m. Wal-Mart is giving shoppers the best offer, claiming that items ordered by 6 p.m. will be delivered by Christmas Eve.

While some of the newest tablets and gaming systems are being offered at standard prices, older models of items made by the same companies are on sale.

Some of the best deals on hot items for these final shopping days include:

1. iPad 2: Best Buy is offering the older model of the iPad for $399.99. While other models might be similarly or better priced at other stores, it's the best deal the electronics retailer is offering on iPads in general.

2. iPad Mini 16 GB wi-fi: Target is offering the older iPad Mini model for $299.00, a standard price. However, they sweetened the deal, giving those who purchase it a $30 dollar target gift card for free, making it a two gifts for the price of one deal.

3. NERF N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18 Blaster: This in-demand NERF gun is being offered at Target for the lowest price ever of $24.99. It's $10-$15 more expensive everywhere else.

4. Cra-Z-Loom: The Shimmer & Sparkle Cra-Z-Loom Rubber Band Bracelet Maker is just $11.99 at Toys 'R Us stores.

5. Zoomer Dog: Though at the moment it is reportedly out of stock, Wal-Mart has the best price on Zoomer Dog, offering him for only $79.97, a $10 difference from competitors.

6. Hot Wheels Triple Track Twister: The latest in Hot Wheels sets is being offered for the lowest price at Target, which is selling it for $30.99.

7. Furby Boom: The newest Furby is just $40.00 at both Toys 'R Us and Target.
