Chris Brown, Girlfriend Karrueche Tran Will Attend Toy Drive Together During Weekend Break From Rehab
Chris Brown has been granted a one-day break from rehab and will attend a charity event with his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
The 24-year-old Loyal singer and Tran will spend Sunday on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles for a Christmas Toy Drive. Brown is expected to mingle and take pictures with attendees at the event that will provide toys for needy and underprivileged children.
TMZ reported that the staff at the rehab facility thinks the event is good for Brown because it will show a different side from his recent violent activity.
Earlier this week, Brown's probation was revoked because of his assault charges filed in Washington D.C. He was in court for a progress hearing where a judge felt the criminal complaint in DC was enough to prove that Brown did not obey the law, which is required for anyone on probation.
The judge also ordered Brown not to use medical marijuana for the time being.
On Wednesday, a judge ordered Brown to spend three months in rehab after a report indicated that a facility discharged Brown because he threw a rock through his mother's car window. Superior Court judge James Brandlin added additional rules for the next few months, requiring him to perform at least 24 hours of community service a week, and voluntarily submitting to drug testing as he deals with his anger management issues.
Meanwhile, Brown is selling his Los Angeles home for $1.92 million. The 3-bedroom and 3-bathroom 2,500 square foot home has an open layout and an elevator.
