Ariana Grande & Nathan Sykes Call It Quits, Split Because 'They Just Weren't Into It" ? [VIDEO]
Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes reportedly broke up simply because "they just weren't into it anymore," a source said.
The 20-year-olds ended their romance a few weeks ago, Us Weekly reported. In fact, when asked about Sykes as her boyfriend during a radio interview last week, Grande said, "You're a little behind. We're really good friends." A source close to the band member told the magazine the couple "hardly ever saw each other" and are currently on a break.
Sykes posted on Instagram an intimate photo of the couple four weeks ago on Nov. 27, shortly before they parted ways.
Their romance began in August following the release of their duet, Almost Is Never Enough for the film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. However, the iCarly actress and The Wanted singer did not confirm they were dating until September after being spotted at Disneyland together.
"So, I guess it's obvious now," Sykes tweeted. "Thanks to everyone who is being so lovely. I'm so happy #but weareterrified #pleasedontkillme #orariana."
Grande described her boyfriend in an Access Hollywood interview in September saying, "He's the sweetest. He's amazing."
"I have to say, he's one of the most talented vocalists I've ever heard in my life," she added.
Talking about dating someone in the music industry, Grande told Teen Vogue for the February 2014 cover story, "It's not as tough as people would think. We have the same music manager, so we can see each other's schedules and plan little trips as often as we can."
Despite the convenience, the singers still drifted apart.
