'Transformers 4: Age of Extinction' Star Mark Wahlberg Says Who He'd Trust with His Life [VIDEO]
He frequently plays the hero in movies, and will take on a starring role in Transformers: Age of Extinction, but who would Mark Wahlberg trust his own life with?
In the new film Lone Survivor, the actor plays real life Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, the only person who survived the doomed Operation Red Wings mission in 2005. The movie highlights the story of the four members of SEAL Team 10 who were tasked with the mission to capture or kill notorious Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd.
At the film's red carpet premiere earlier in December, several of his co-stars said it was him that they would trust with their lives, including Alexander Ludwig. Lane Garrison and Rob Thomas attended the premiere and also chose Wahlberg.
"He always survives," Garrison said. "Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise...they never die in the movies so why would they die in real life."
When Wahlberg was asked who he would trust with his life, he said, "certainly any one of those SEAL guys" and then spoke about putting his faith in his family and friends. He was shocked to hear that so many A-lists that night put their lives in his hands, and added, "hey man, don't give me no responsibility."
Lone Survivor is out in theaters now.
Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theaters June 27, 2014.
Jack Reynor is the male lead of the film and will be playing a race car driver named Shane. Nicola Peltz acts as Reynor's girlfriend, Tessa, and Mark Wahlberg will portray Cade, Tessa's father. Kelsey Grammer will be playing the role of Harold Attinger, a counter-intelligence agent who is the main antagonist in the film.
The first trailer of the film will be shown during the 2014 Super Bowl on Feb. 2, 2014
