Ring in the New Year with moments in 2013 that were strange, disappointing and hopefully forgettable.

Here are five celebrity moments that everyone should move on from.

1. Amanda Bynes Losing It

The All That star created quite a controversy with some rambunctious moments. After allegedly throwing bongs out of windows and lighting driveways on fires, the retired actress was placed in a psychiatric hold and diagnosed with schizophrenia. Bynes was not afraid to be silly and kept audiences laughing in films such as She's the Man and Easy A -- until her first DUI. She checked out of rehab on Dec. 5.

2. Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus' VMA Performance

The scandalous VMA performance in August 2013 that had everyone talking involved some strange moments. Cyrus entered the stage wearing a onepiece that had the face of an aminal sticking out its tongue. She then stripped to a nude-colored cropped top and matching underwear to grind against Thicke and rub a foam finger on his body. As if that wasn't strange enough, she danced with giant teddy bears on stage as well. This was a memorable moment in the music industry mainly because it's hard to let go of the star who was once the innocent Disney star Hannah Montana.

3. North West's Naming

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West gave birth to a baby girl whom they named North - her last name being West -- in June 2013. Her name resulted in the public creating memes and starting jokes about with the celebrity couple naming their daughter after a direction.

4. Reese Witherspoon's Arrest

Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon was arrested in April for disorderly conduct along with her husband, Jim Toth, who was arrested for DUI. Their arrest video went viral, showing Witherspoon argueing with the officer doing the arrest and then trying to use her celebrity status to help her out by saying, "Do you know my name? You're about to find out who I am." Their mugshot were also plastered all ove the Web.

5. Ben Affleck to Play Batman

The casting set off massive outrage for all the fans who did not have any hope for Ben Affleck starring as Batman in the upcoming superhero flick Batman vs. Superman. Thousands of tweets surfaced against Affleck taking on the role, including one from actor Richard Dreyfuss that said, "You read a part, you feel good about it, you feel confident, then they cast Ben Affleck."
