Amanda Bynes Post-Rehab Takes a Stroll Without Supervision From Her Parents
After a difficult year, Amanda Bynes was seen going for a walk Thursday, Jan. 2, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., - this time without her parents' supervision.
The retired actress dressed casually for the outing by sporting a black T-shirt, skinny blue jeans, sunglasses, and pink and gray sneakers. She appeared to be listening to music. The actress was spotted in the same area with her two dogs and parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, on Dec. 26.
Bynes is starting 2014 by taking it easy following the troubles she had over the past two years.
The Easy A star was pulled over and arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in 2012. She got into more car trouble later that year when she was charged with two counts of hit and run.
Bynes spent 2013 year engrossed in reported erratic behavior, including allegedly throwing a bong out of a window, accusing a cop of assault, lighting a driveway on fire and posting insulting posts on Twitter directed that Drake, Miley Cyrus and other celebrities.
She also tweeted regularly about plastic surgery. She posted in July, "My Surgeon Broke My Nose During My Surgery But Hasn't Finished My Nose! It's Still Broken And I Can't Breathe!"
Bynes was treated for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder after she was placed in an involuntary 72-hour psychiatric hold in October. She was then transferred from the psych ward in Los Angeles to a treatment facility in Malibu. She checked out in December 2013 under the car of her parents.
Bynes is planning to continue her education as a student at the design school FIDM to study fashion design, her mother's lawyer said in December.
