Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard Daughter Lincoln Will Not Live a Censored Life, 'She’ll Grow Up and Enjoy Sex’ Actress Reveals [VIDEO]
Kristen Bell revealed an unconventional parenting technique she and husband Dax Shepard are using when it comes to their 10-month-old daughter Lincoln.
During an appearance on the Monday, Jan. 6 episode of Chelsea Lately, the 33-year-old said that her daughter wouldn't be censored from watching risqué TV shows and movies.
"She can watch whatever she wants," Bell told Chelsea Handler.
The host mentioned their talk backstage about Bell's views on allowing Lincoln to see films she and her husband have done.
"People ask me 'Well you've done some sexy material, do you not want her to see that?' And I'm like, 'My guess is if she's anything like the other 5 billion people on the planet, she's gonna grow up and enjoy sex, so I'm not going to be shocked by that."
"I just think that you're setting yourself up for disaster if you try to keep them little," she added. "She's gonna grow up. She has-newsflash!-a vagina, and she's gonna figure it out one day, and more power to her."
Bell also talked about how being a mother changed her in unexpected ways. She no longer has a love for skiing, she explained.
"I was on the ski team in high school, I skied all growing up, but I got to the slopes last year, to the very top, and I thought, 'Oh my God! What are we doing, this is so dangerous! Everybody get off the mountain right now!'" she said. "Like what are we trying to prove to snow? That we can ride it?"
