Former 'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard Engaged To Tyler Johnson, 'We're Really Excited,' She Says
Former Bachelorette Emily Maynard is trying her luck at love again since she just engaged to Tyler Johnson.
The reality TV star and jewelry designer was previously engaged to late NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, who is also the father of her daughter, Ricki, 8. Hendrick died in a plane crash in 2004 prior to Ricki's birth.
Maynard later got engaged to Bachelor Brad Womack in 2011 and then to Jef Holm after she accepted his proposal on season 8 of The Bachelorette. The two ended their engagement a few months later in October 2012.
"We're really excited!!" Maynard told Us Weekly about her latest engagement in a Tuesday report. "He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings. It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me!"
Johnson, who met Maynard in church, reportedly popped the question right after the New Year. Maynard posted an Instagram photo of the two brining in 2014 with the caption, "it's going to be a good year :)."
"She was crying," an insider told E! News. "She's super happy. He's her best friend."
Like a true gentleman, Johnson got permission from Maynard's father and Hendrick's parents before he asked for his lady's hand in marriage.
E! News also reports that the engagement ring isn't a traditionally cut rock, but instead a band with diamonds.
While Maynard has yet to speak on the engagement via social media, she did imply that she will reveal some happy news shortly.
"Seriously, we're only a week into 2014 and it has already been one of my best yet! More on that on another day," she wrote on her website on Tuesday.
