'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Garth Flees From The Winchester Brothers, New Details On DJ Qualls Return In 'Sharp Teeth' [VIDEO]
Garth is headed back to Supernatural, but the quirky lightweight will be trying to avoid the Winchester brothers.
Set to reappear in episode 912, "Sharp Teeth," the dentist-turned-hunter will find himself unconscious in a hospital bed as the episode begins. Unseen since season 8's "Southern Comfort," the "new Bobby" was in charge of checking up on Kevin Tran (Osric Chau) while the prophet was living on his houseboat.
"We're going to get an answer to where the heck Garth (DJ Qualls) has been this whole time and viewers will remember he sort of went AWOL when put in charge of guarding Kevin back in season 8 and we'll answer this question, and I think it will be surprising," said executive producer Jeremy Carver, according to Entertainment Weekly. "And there will be hugs."
Although Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), took the prophet in after he was kidnapped by Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Kevin ultimately met and untimely end during December's "Holy Terror." Still smarting from the young prophet's death at the hands of Gadreel/Sam, Dean will be very curious to know where Garth disappeared to.
Unfortunately for the brothers, Garth will mysteriously take off after waking up to find the Winchesters surrounding his sick bed (see their reunion in the new teaser below). Why, and where he goes to, has yet to be revealed.
