'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Shannon Admitted To Hospital Due To Car Crash Injuries [VIDEO]
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's Lauryn Shannon has been admitted to the hospital following injuries sustained during a car crash on Jan 6.
The 14-year-old Lauryn, also referred to as Pumpkin, was initially reported to have received chest bruises when the family's car was hit by a truck the day before her birthday, according to TMZ. However, "Mama" June Shannon stated on Wednesday that the teen was also experiencing "severe headaches" in the wake of the accident.
Mama June took to Facebook once more during the early hours of Monday to report that she was at the hospital since Lauryn had not been healing properly from what was apparently a severe concussion.
"AS I SIT HERE TONIGHT AT THE HOSPITAL WATCHING PUMPKIN SLEEP I CATCH MY SELF THANKING HOW THIS WEEK HAS BEEN SO CRAZY WITH THE WRECK AND DEALING WITH HER POST SEVERE CONCUSSION STUFF AND TRYING TO GET HER BACK TO NORMAL WE R NOW BEING ADMITTED TO THE FIGURE ALL THIS OUT CAUSE SHE IS GETTING NO BETTER," the family's matriarch wrote.
Despite Pumpkin's hospitalization, June sounds hopeful as she continued saying, "LAUGH CAUSE IF U DONT ALL U WILL DO IS CRY BUT I WOULDNT CHANGE MY GIRLS FOR NOTHING IN THE WORLD JUST HOPE WITH TIME AND TAKING IT DAY BY DAY PUMPKIN WILL B BACK TO HER NORMAL SELF."
